Dolcetto is grown throughout Piedmont (north-western Italy).. A lot of good Dolcetto wine comes from the areas near towns of Dogliani, Diano d'Alba, and Alba in Piedmont. Dolcetto is dry wine that is moderate in acidity and moderate in tannin. Dolcetto often has fruit-driven aroma with black cherry and licorice flavors.
